Spring Educational Programs at Seoul Parks

For those of you in Seoul who have stayed cooped up all winter, it’s time to get outside, learn a little, and enjoy the spring weather.

Towards this aim, Seoul Forest has launched an open-run ‘Family Fun Day,’ a weekend family eco tour program with live commentary and fun games and missions for participating families (see bottom for dates). At Boramae Park’s ‘Well-being Plant Class: Bringing Health to Life,’ participants will have the chance to learn the art of flower arrangement on Tuesdays and gardening on Thursdays from professionals in each respective field. Participants are asked only to pay for the cost of materials used.

During the same time period, Namsan Park will be operating its ‘Namsan Forest Journey’ (walks along the flower paths of Namsan Mountain) and Dream Forest, a large-scale park in the Gangbuk region, will be holding a variety of formative art exhibitions titled ‘Visual Creative Art Festival.’ At Seoul Changpowon, located right next to Dobongsan Station (Subway Line 7), the ‘Changpowon Forest Kindergarten’ will be taking place for children ages 6 or 7. In this program, children can learn more about nature through guided observations and springtime play.

*Participants for each program are asked to make reservations in advance.
