Korea is joining in the international efforts to send help to Japan following Friday’s devastating earthquake and tsunami.
Seoul on Sunday evening dispatched three C-130 aircraft with 102 rescue workers, including six medical staff and six interpreters, to Sendai, one of the areas hit hardest by the disaster.
Min Dong-seok, second vice minister of foreign affairs and trade, said Korea will send more rescue teams after further discussions with Japan.
