Mobile Service Offers Helpful Tips to Foreign Residents of Seoul

The city of Seoul is operating a mobile consulting service to bring help and advice directly to foreign residents throughout this year.

It is aimed at aiding foreign workers, students and multicultural families who cannot afford to visit the Seoul Global Center to resolve the challenges that they face in their daily lives here.
Last year the city provided 54 rounds of consultation sessions, helping tackle a total of 9,697 inconveniences and other difficulties. The top issues were the national pension and insurance, followed by problems related to wages and residence status.

The city plans to expand the advice being offered to include industrial disaster compensation and the social insurance system, from the current issues of labor, law, mobile phone subscriptions and the pension system.

The service is staffed by lawyers, tax accountants, pension experts and others who can offer accurate and professional advice.
