Traditional Music at Seoul Palaces and Jongmyo Shrine

‘Traditional Music at Palace,’ a series of performances representing royal music of the Joseon Dynasty, artistic music of the classical scholars and modern fusion music, is set to take place at major Seoul landmarks between May and June. The royal court music and dance once performed at royal parties and banquets will be presented at Gyeongbokgung Palace. Members of the National Center Korean Traditional Performing Arts are staging artistic and folk music at Changdeokgung Palace, while an exciting and harmonious world music and Korean fusion music crossover is featured at Deoksugung Palace. Finally, Jongmyo Jeryeak, an elaborate dance to the ancient court music, is also demonstrated at Jongmyo Shrine. There is no additional fee, other than the admission fee, to see the performances.
